Utah has been booing their own team for a long time now but it was the worst I have ever seen on Saturday. In the past I feel like it was just an isolated group of idiots and they were not really noticed. Not the case this weekend. I couldn't believe how the whole stadium lost it at one point late in the 3rd quarter. The head scratcher is that Utah is having a far better season than anyone expected.
Now I know this is cannot possibly be indicative of all Utah fans but I think this stems from "head in the sand" expectations. While riding trax up to the game a guy across from me was talking to his friends loudly about how Utah was a lock for the PAC 12 championship game with a win. he then proceeded to explain that the games against north division teams don't count? I can see why fans will boo their own team when they go into a game with the same logic as this guy.
