Both are defensive minded coaches who've had trouble establishing a stable situation with their offensive coaching staffs and finding an offensive identity. While both have proved themselves to be capable coaches, both have experienced disappointing seasons against high expectations the past several years. Whittingham seems to have settled on a strong defensive identity for his team combined with a safe offense that doesn't turn the ball over and make dumb mistakes. I think Bronco will give up altogether on delegating DC responsibilities and settle on a similar offensive model.
