First of all, I'm not married so I don't have a wife influencing what I can and cannot do. I was just making an observation of why I generally think BYU fans will never fully embrace what might be viewed as the traditional college football game experience, especially the extracurriculars like tailgating.
Second, even if I was married I wouldn't want to spend all day on a football game regardless of what my wife thought about it. As much as I love BYU sports, I have a whole lot of other things that I enjoy or want to get done and Saturdays are precious time. Like it or not, I think people with similar thoughts make up the vast majority of the BYU fanbase. Unless that changes I think the status quo is likely to prevail.
