I don't think it is going to be 4 conference champs every year. I do think the rankings will be similar to the BCS rankings, but I don't think they will be exactly the same.
Take last year for example.

Michigan St. vs Stanford. Both were conference champs in a conference that played a CCG. However, Michigan St.'s nonconference schedule was 1-11 Western Michigan, 2-10 South Florida, FCS Youngstown St., and ND (which they lost to). Michigan St. had only 1 win against a team ranked in the top 25 before the bowls.
Stanford's nonconference was ND (who they beat) 6-6 San Jose St., and 3-9 Army. No FCS team on their schedule. Stanford went 5-0 vs. the pre bowl top 25. Even though they had a bad road loss to Utah, I think the committee could have taken Stanford over MSU for the playoff even though MSU proved to be the better team in the Rose Bowl.
