I had a coworker who wanted to be a pilot. So much so that he would come home
put on a flight suit (no joke) and sit in a home-constructed Boeing 747 cockpit simulator (I worked for a 3d simulation company, so this wasn't as big an undertaking as it might seem) and fly a 747 across the country for 5 hours. No combat, no loops, no heavy banking. Just flying a straight line across the country.
