The only thing going for TCU is that it is in DFW

And that really isn't an advantage. They don't have a big fan base there. You could argue that they would bring in subscription fees if the Big XII ever had its own TV network, but such a network would be included in the DFW footprint with or without TCU so that argument doesn't make any sense at all.
