He was drafted at 10 by the Jazz based on his potential and measurables as an 19 year old freshman. If he would have gone back to Colorado his draft stock would have tanked because he wouldn’t have improved much and had two years of mediocre play/film. He made the right decision to go pro.
While I think Egor has more upside than Cody Williams and will get better if he stays it’s not a guarantee and as an 19 year old freshman he has age, measurables, and size at position going for him. If he plays better next year his stock could rise but likewise if he puts out the same level of play/film he could drop.
If Egor is projected lottery he should leave. There’s no guarantee he’ll be that high next year. I think he’s currently close to lottery range and likely to move up because of his play at his age and showing enough for “potential “ game and upside, especially passing ability for his size and being a pg.
