My point was that there were other calls made where there was similar "contact" (or lack there of) and Wisconsin got the foul. Examples might include...
- both of BYU's fouls on Wisconsin three pointers (Tunje extending the leg and falling like he was shot)
- the baseline drive in the first half where Tonje dove to ground and Mag got the technical
- the foul on BYU on where there was almost no contact on the jump shot about midway through the second half (came right after a no-call when Richie got a flying elbow to the gut)
Other awful calls (or no calls) included...
- Dawson's flagrant 2 "foul" (apparently the "right call" by the rules but an awful rule)
- Fouss getting slapped across the face & arm with no call in the first half
- the elbowed cheap shot on Richie after a BYU rebound about halfway through the second half (Richie responded after getting off the ground by hitting a deep three)
So while I agree there wasn't much contact and it would have been an awful call, there was a lot of competition for the worst call of the night.
