Which to me implies that he hasn’t learned anything about being a Head Coach since failing at UM and UA.
Guys like Rich Rod become great because they invent a longer lasting lightbulb schematically, which gives them an edge for a short blip of time. But then every starts doing that thing and, once that edge is gone, they fade away because they aren’t really great coaches.
Dana Holgorsen, Lincoln Riley, etc all seem to fall into this category. Compare them to the truly great coaches who succeed over decades with lots of different OCs/DCs. As much as people hate on Kalani he is developing into the latter type of HC.
