Every interview I've seen with him, when they ask him what he likes about Provo and the school, he has always said how quiet it is.

I take that to mean that he's not being pushed to do stupid stuff that lots of teens and college kids do. He seems like a quiet introvert who just wants to focus on basketball and school, probably in that order, and BYU gives him the opportunity to live that life.
