The point is, by ANY objective metric, BYU should be ahead of SMU...
- head to head win on the road
- better SOS
- better quality wins
- fewer losses
- no blowout losses
- finished on a high note
The fact that SMU 'made' the playoff shouldn't matter, when in retrospect BYU should have been given their playoff berth.
