Battery power backup is becoming much more affordable. We live offgrid, relying
Completely on solar and battery storage and use a generator as backup when we get multiple days of no sun. We use EG4 inverters and batteries. We currently have 14 450 watt panels. You can get 5kwh batteries for around $1200 now. We have a rack of 6 and can go about 3 days with no sun.
