I’m not really sure why you’re thumbs downing me. I’m not trying to defend the sanctity of the student part of the student athlete or anything. It’s sounds like a fairly silly mode of “pay for play” if they’re still limited by NCAA rules.

The best ones won’t even be around long enough to develop into a player worth millions, so it’s essentially stupid to give them the millions so early. That’s basically my point, and I think we’re in agreement more than we disagree. It’s almost ruining fandom if people are going to demand better play because of the money.
