SEC still seems to have more of the best, but the best players are now spread
out across 12-13 teams instead of just 3-4 teams....and the portal and NIL have materially weakened SEC depth.
The middle of the Big Ten is not as good as the middle of SEC because the top Big Ten teams hoard the talent compared to the rest of the conference - especially Ohio State and Oregon.
Notre Dame was able to reload through the transfer portal to push themselves to CFP contender.
Florida State had the transfer portal success blow up in their face - a warning sign to the negative side of key new players.
