It doesn’t matter if you have control at first contact with the ground. If you go to the ground on a catch you have to
maintain control throughout the whole process.

It can touch the ground during that process, but if “firm control” isn’t maintained when it touches the ground, it’s not a catch.

Not saying it would be overturned. Just saying when the butt touches is irrelevant.
