I don't think this is true at all. If a team asks for an interview you give it regardless. How could it hurt you? At the
very least you find out what one other team thinks of you and the kind of money that's available to you. AND, you let BYU know that people are after you.
Who knows, you might get some leverage to get more $$ from BYU.
