However, that’s really the game. Lots of what-ifs, and lots of chances for things to have gone even worse in those games and losses in other games (some of those win/loss chance lines were hilarious).

The gist is that many other teams have the same concerns and “We were so close!” comments. And while ND made it into the CFP, their loss to NIU has hilariously followed them all season, with so much deserved mocking and affect on their ranking.

Yes, BYU was close to perfect, as were a good number of other teams. I wanted BYU to be the shining beacon to the whole country, but drat, it was only an awesome season instead of a perfect season 🙂
