You say all of that as if it’s so easy to do.
Some people struggle to make and keep friends. Pets don’t reject you and they are always your friend.
Not everyone has “boot straps” they can just pull up.
Of course we shouldn’t buy stuff we can’t afford. That’s an obvious rule. But some people need a reason to stay alive until they can get back on their feet.
