Any country that is considered 3rd world, 3-4 hours ahead of time because you are usually going to go through
3-4 security checkpoints. Each line could take 30 minutes. Even some places in Europe are miserable to get through (I’m looking at you CDG).
If in Japan or So Korea, you don’t need more than at most 2 hours, but you go sooner because they’ve got great shopping and food at the airport.
