I can’t imagine enjoying the trappings of football (standings, rankings, playoffs, etc.) more than the actual games.
All those things add to the experience but for me, I watch football because I enjoy the game and I want to see who wins.
But to each his own I suppose. I guess like the trappings of March Madness better than watching actual basketball games.
