In college I worked at a Jiffy Lube type of place.
so I've performed hundreds, if not thousands of oil changes.
I got away from doing my own service when the cars I bought all had service contracts. However, the service contract is up on my Acura and the oil change places want around one hundres and twenty dollars to do it. I'm not a cheap person but I just couldn't justify it. It took me less than five minutes to change the oil (Mobil 1 Full Synthetic) and filter (Napa Gold). Total cost around thirty five bucks.
