Layering high- level action, comedy, and Christmas was ground breaking.

Half-way through, iturned to my wife and said,
"this is the most entertaining movie I've seen in the theater for a long as i can remember."

As soon as the guy has an exorcism on the beach, the rest of the movie from there was borderline bad. They should have left the formula as comedy, action, Christmas and a touch of fantasy. Instead, they added horror and leaned in way too much on fantasy.

I still liked the show, but left disappointed. Sad what could have been.
