Take it as seriously as you want, as this comes directly from someone who spent several years in the program with the Riggs brothers. I’m not someone who likes drama or wasting time on writing a post like this…but the Riggs family is the most obnoxious and embarrassing family to probably ever come through the program. They are ok long snappers and usually did their job on game day, but the drama and constant off-field issues coming from them were a nightmare. The most high maintenance specialists ever, and to make things worse, their dad came to practice and would try to coach them EVERY DAY during multiple seasons. It was a weird dynamic that made several teammates not want to associate with them. Plus, the coaches will even tell you that the dad was “breathing down their necks” constantly over nothing. Both ended up in the portal due to off field issues and blamed it on the fact that BYU wouldn’t commit a scholarship to them since there are other snapper candidates that would be more worthwhile to have on scholarship on the team.
