FYI most plumbing supply houses have a tank boneyard easily accessible, if you
do replace it yourself just take the old one to the plumbing house and drive in like you know what you’re doing. Kick it off the back of the truck and drive away. They offer this service for all the plumbers and probably sell the bad ones to a scrap hauler.

Beats the pants off of paying to dump it.
