To me it seemed sort of like Dorothy waking up at the end of the Wizard of Oz
I just did not think it was new or clever. But I guess I can see how others may think it was a “genius” (albeit, not really new) ending.

The last episode of Newhart…. Best ending of any tv show, by far… okay that goes back to the 1980’s but still true.
