We have a below average P4 recruiting class right now... of all of the P4 teams, we are near the bottom of it right now. In fact we are only 10 rankings away from our average recruiting class as an Independent. So you kind of losing your argument when you can't even been honest about the current recruiting situation.

Yes, we need to cut roster, we also need to add quality starters, because we just graduated a senior class. Sure we are going to see a lot more players leave from BYU... that should open up spots for more higher quality players from the portal... but apparently our portal transfer recruiting map extends only to Logan Utah on down to Cedar City Utah.
