they announced players for the college football all star game. Some of the names were outlandish and funny. Way over the top names. As they went through all the names from the different schools they then showed a very normal name "Dan Smith" from BYU. It was a very funny joke. I laughed as did many other people that I know.

Fast forward to 2024 and Texas Tech is completely killing it in the transfer portal. They are landing a lot of really good recruits. They are doing so well in the portal that even the fictitious character "Dan Smith" who is the ultimate BYU player is going to Texas Tech.
