Just way too many games in the regular season, along with more than half the
teams making the play-in/playoffs.

A single game doesn’t matter nearly as much as a single game in CBB, CFB, or the NFL. MLB has the same problem as the NBA.

Both NBA and MLB postseasons are fun to watch because every game matters. Their regular seasons, however, are a slog and just not interesting.

It’s hard for me to be excited about a team in a league where you can lose almost half your games and still be in contention to make the playoffs. In baseball, you can lose 60 games and you’re an elite team. It’s just not meaningful.
