Buddy - one of us made an offhand message board joke. The other is trying (and
failing) to police some fake morality around that joke because he didn't get the joke or because he isn't wired to understand it and is being a little weird about pursuing it.
And yeah, I know you're not actually my "buddy" I'm just being nice.
