I’ve been been in an airport that took longer to get through security than
Amsterdam, if that means anything. They are more “thorough” checking than anywhere else I’ve been, and that includes many very large cities all over.
But really, Paris or Amsterdam are the sane to get to Germany

Is Paris or Amsterdam a better airport for connecting to Frankfurt?

Both are fine. I’d be more concerned with layover time.

Amsterdam is better, but may depend on the airline.

I’m going on a ledge and say it’s a delta partner KLM or AF to respective city.

If you're in Utah, probably Delta direct to Paris then Frankfurt.

They also fly direct to Amsterdam from SLC. I’m assuming that’s why he’s asking for those two.

I guess I'm really out of international travel loop then.

I’ve done this flight several times and it was easy.

I find it more fun to go the other way around the world. Maybe stop in Hong Kong

I prefer Amsterdam. Never had a problem getting through the Schengen Zone passport control in Amsterdam. It’s very quick

Agree - I got caught in Paris with a line at passport control that took 2

Amsterdam is smaller and easier to get through.

You're talking abt a difference of 20-30 minutes so I'd say base your choice on

Amsterdam. Avoid DeGaulle connections whenever possible.

Avoid Paris.

Like others on this thread I recommend AMS. CDG is a nightmare for connections

Paris can be very smooth or a complete disaster. That’s my warning.

Always travel through Amsterdam and grab some fresh stroopwafels
