I don't know if he was hurt before but he looked like a new man out there. I loved how he sagged off #5 and got in a low defensive stance and stayed in front of him denying in dribble penetration. Then he was able to disrupt his pull up shot with his height and length. If he can do that to the opponents's hot hand, he will be worth gold to this team.
I watched Iowa St play Iowa and they have a bunch a dudes who just attack the rim off their dribble. If Mag, Catchings, and Demin can sag off their man and stop dribble penetration and use their length to disrupt outside shots and Keita can clean up any mistakes and Saunders, Knell and Hall can disrupt passing lanes, this team has a chance to be really good defensively.
