True. When Boise State won two Fiesta Bowls
The year after they were hit with lack of institutional control and docked 10 football scholarships.

The alleged reasons were that an assistant tennis coach paid for English classes for an European recruit ($1500), two football players from Belgium who had lived with some families in Boise as exchange students in high school were driving their host families beater cars, and some recruits had slept on couches. Everyone knows that their real violation was winning to Fiesta Bowls.

Meanwhile, Tennessee is providing "hostesses" and cash to recruits, Miami has mobsters paying players fairly big money, Kansas (&Duke& Louisville&UConn&UCLA&NC&...) has shoe company reps paying players in coordination with those schools' coaches and crickets. Absolutely nothing happens.

A lot of you hate Boise State, but our situation is a lot closer to theirs than you care to admit. The NCAA lost their freakin' minds in 1984 when BYU won its first national title. They will still be losing their minds if the wrong teams win.
