to believe it was all $$$ and aren't willing to believe that AJ actually wanted to come here more than he wanted to go to some other programs, I think many BYU fans are fooling themselves into thinking that AJ was simply amazed by the non-monetary things BYU offered and that this is what swayed him. While I don't love what NIL has become, I won't feel bad in the slightest if we one day find out that BYU outbid these blueblood programs. Those programs are bluebloods because they have all of the other traditional things to offer recruits that a program like ours doesn't. So if we stepped up and were willing to pay more than they were, I'm fine with that.
I don't think this current system is sustainable. But for now I hope we continue to play as hard as we can.
