Series E savings bonds are non-transferable. So DIK is not possible.
If they represent a significant tax burden when cashing them then:
1. Congratulations that must be a lot of money.
2. Consider spreading out the sale over multiple years. Take into account the potential value lost due to inflation when you do that. The longer they hold them the less they're worth at this point.
