Exactly. NBA drafts on potential, not on college execution/ production.
A guy like Jimmer can dominate college but have a ceiling in the NBA. Guys like Catchings and Egor are unfinished products but if they reach their potential could reach heights that Jimmer never could. But that is projecting into the future.

This is why Pope is doing so well at UK so far. He built himself a squad of a bunch of multi-year veterans with no egos.
