Before NIL became a thing, I honestly believed that most college players based on their food/housing/scholarship were actually overpaid. I felt that it was the university that had the majority of the value, not the player. However, the advent of NIL has shown that I was drastically wrong. I was vastly underestimating the amount of money players would make.
Between the NIL and transfer rule changes, things became much more professional for the athletes, which unfortunately means that they are going to be treated more like professionals. There is going to be much less guarantees out there, and some will be left without anything.
