It's ridiculous that we have a *committee* determining the playoff participants. Super lame.

Committees are inherently biased because humans are biased. Even if you have 13 persons beyond reproach - there will still be bias, one way or the other.

Give certain guarantees to the top conferences and then go back to a BCS-type formula that incorporates poll and computer rankings. If the committee remains, it should be for seeding purposes only, not to determine who participates...and the committee should restrained by strict rules and instructions...and unable to override the guaranteed bids.
