That sounds pretty Un-American to me.
The premise that these things create parity in pro sports is also false IMO. Star players move to larger markets all the time to benefit from greater earnings related to their image and personal brand. It's the biggest reason largest markets win a vast majority of pro sports titles.
The issue maybe isn't as pronounced in pro sports because the best athletes already make so much money that the increase is less important or obvious but it happens. It's the primary reason LeBron went to Miami and eventually LA. No one else even had a chance. Just like NCAA and NIL.
