The committee purposely stated, when dropping BYU several spots after 2 losses, that they weren't that high on the strength of scheduled. But when the Alabama/SMU decision came into play, the ONLY saving grace for Alabama was their SoS and because the committee had already stated and were currently screwing BYU... they had to in turn stick it to Alabama by ignoring their strength of schedule.
If we are being honest... BYU and Alabama should be switching rankings... that would be a more accurate reflection of the seasons success and outcome.
