If he leaves primarily for money, he'll leave an "interesting" legacy at BYU. I don't see him going pro, so maybe he's
highly motivated to pocket as much cash as he can while in college. He may make more money elsewhere, but doubt he'd be treated as well as he has here. He'd also be giving up the valuable BYU networking connections, so a short time gain may be a long term loss.
