Invitational B10/SEC Challenge ≠ playoff. That’s perfect. Others can form
Alternative challenge — taking their #2 teams and next tier of contenders. After a few years, if SEC B10 keep play exclusionary games, and there’s an alternative tournament, then start giving #1s the choice.
A playoff that puts thumb on a scale for SEC and B10 in seeding and at large bids becomes a self fulfilling prophecy of superiority.
