benching him, or giving his minutes to someone else just last week. Granted, he does occasionally play out of control, and take some bad shots, but he's certainly not alone in that. And he is admittedly somewhat hot and cold (so far), but has apparently earned the respect of both players and coaches in practice, so that may evolve as the season progresses. Based on that, I'd be more inclined to expect him getting better over more games, not worse. Regardless, he has the savvy to help BYU out in many games this year, just with his experience, and the multiple ways in which he can score, including from deep, mid-range, and driving to the hoop. Sure, he's not a "rim runner," but helps in other ways, and is like Saunders, really pesky and anticipatory on defense.

I just think people on CB need to stop advocating for a relegating to a player to the bench,m based on a small sample size of 2-3 games. Granted, he has a sample size of 2 (for sure), Queens and Providence, and possibly 3 games where he's really been key, so that's a small sample size also, but I'm not the one recommending him either ride the bench, OR, start, and take someone else's minutes. Just let him play where the coaches see favorable match-ups, and take the good with the not so good.
