If ypu listen to a top 40 station on repeat, you'll get a song for maybe a few months before it drops off the charts.
The same 40 christmas songs come around every year. Sure you don't listen to them all year, but it's the same recycled songs.
You could take a time machine to any year between 1980 and 2020 and turn on Christmas radio and not be able to tell me what year you're in.
