My brother did go watch though and he said similar things as you. He said he actually thinks Egor is better than aj. At least right now.
I didn't disagree with him but said that the growth with someone of his talent potential actually comes quickly. The growth between a senior year of high school and freshman year of college is usually huge for those guys. Even right now, Egor has improved over his game at this time last year.
To carry a team like Carmelo did his freshman year is rare but I think AJ could carry a team by the end of his sophomore year for sure. Hopefully sooner. But his sophomore year will be his rookie year in the NBA. Either way, him playing his freshman year at BYU would be awesome.
