Might be run. Late and frequent substitutions means the defense doesn’t have to get set quickly. So Jake has to wait to read what the defensive set is so he knows if he has to audible or which receiver might be the primary read. OL has to wait to see what blocking changes and assignments they need to make. Players don’t “get in a groove” or develop rhythm or chemistry with certain routes.
