They are already discussing the changes. Likely moving to 14 teams with more auto bids
like the SEC and Big 10 each getting 3 auto bids (they have previously discussed 4 IIRC) and the Big 12 and ACC getting 2. A 5th conference champ would still get one. At least in the latest proposals.

I think it’s a mistake. Auto bids are not good.
