just that they view them as deep with "good but not great" teams. Personally, I think Boise St. has gotten way too much mileage out of a loss to Oregon, and Tulane is incredibly overrated.
But the only 3 loss teams ranked ahead of our 2 loss teams is SEC teams, and the only 2 loss teams ranked ahead of our 2 loss teams is SEC teams + Clemson.
Tulane being in the mix is asinine. It's the biggest disagreement I have - especially since they lost to Kansas St. and don't have a single win vs. a ranked team. Iowa St. and BYU should both be ahead of them. At the end of the day, though, I think there is very little chance of the Big 12 champion ending up behind Tulane unless chaos continues this week. Assuming 2 out of ASU, ISU, and BYU win this week, the door will slam shut on Tulane's playoff hopes.
I'm more worried about passing a 1-loss Boise St. With UNLV ranked, that could give the committee enough ammo to keep Boise ahead of the Big 12 champ, even if, say, Iowa St. beats a ranked Kansas St. team followed by a ranked BYU or ASU team to win the conference title.
