1. Few people said we were G5 because we weren't. We were independent. We weren't a part of any league, and G5 refers to the 5 leagues. You're arguing a point that wasn't made, so the argument is destroyed.
2. Nobody ever said it wasn't fair to measure us against others. You're arguing against a point that was never made, so the argument is destroyed.
3. Nobody ever said we were the "number 1 team in the country." You're arguing against a point that was never made, so the argument is destroyed.
4. We played more than 1 or 2 P5's in a year (remember when we went 5-0 against the PAC?). BYU played an average of 4.3 P5 opponents in independence. The "facts" are just wrong, and the argument is destroyed.
This is just a dumb post positing arguments cougar fans don't make and then destroying them. But any one of the 4 points above destroys that straw man argument.
This is how you utes get you narratives, like the dumb "soaking" thing. One ute makes it up and the rest of them in basements treat it as though it's an actual thing amongst BYU fans. Sad little utes.
