You can’t have it both ways. You can’t say that we were G5, and therefore we didn’t have resources and therefore it’s not fair to measure us against other people and then on the other hand, say we were the number one team in the country and we were really good and deserved to be respected like we were one of the best.
Either you were good or you weren’t. If you only have to play one or two P5 teams per year, you should be able to have success against them like Boise State has.
So either argue that you didn’t have the resources and you weren’t as good as other teams or argue that you were just as good as other teams and you struggled in the big games. It’s one or the other. You can’t have both.
