Although generally I agree. I think it will be a bigger bump for BYU who can tell the story about doing this in the Big12 with recruiting classes mostly from the "have-nots" years. Utah can't tell the same story since they've been enjoying P5 money for some time and, well, 1-7 in conference this year, missing a bowl game.

This will spiral as BYU, who is doing more for less, makes more of better players from the recruiting bump. Making more means more wins, meaning even better recruits, meaning we'll win for that large number of recruits for which we go head-to-head. That will make the gap wider and wider, as it should be.

The key to continuing that upward cycle (and relegating Utah to that downward spiral) is to continue to make the most out of our players.
